Even for a birdwatcher, a trudge across four precarious miles of shifting sand dunes and shingle lashed by hail storms and gale force winds shows unusual commitment. But when the object of your interest has gone 3,000 thousand miles out of its way to be there, it seems a small sacrifice to make.

A great post about the National Aviary in Pittsburgh, PA
After lunch, we ended up in a bookstore, where we met, Sarah, the “Bird Nurse” at the National Aviary. This is a great post to help you get started with your birdwatching.
You probably hear birds every day, but can you tell one bird song from the next? Birdwatching, or birding, is an increasingly popular hobby in many parts of the world. All you need is a pair of binoculars, a field guide, and a willingness to observe.
