Assemble the platform by attaching the slats to the rails with glue and brads. Bring in the ends and secure. Now, assemble the feed spreader using glue and brads.
Five years ago I set-up my first hummingbird feeder and I was hooked! The entertainment that this one bird feeder provided lead to my curiosity of what other birds I could attract to my yard. Now I want to share with you what I have learned.

An Update On The Big Day Of Bird Watching
As members of the Cornell Lab of Ornithology's Team Sapsucker, we'd like to thank everyone for the amazing show of support during our Big Day efforts to raise funds for bird conservation. Bird Feeder At North Peak
The bird feeder at North Peak, Keystone was often inundated with several hundred Brown-capped and Gray-crowned Rosy-Finches. We were able to band almost 40 Rosy-Finches with metallic green aluminum bands that represent Summit County.

Take Down Bird Feeders To Deter Bears
State wildlife officials are asking people to take down their birdfeeders to avoid attracting bears. "We are receiving reports of bears getting into bird feeders," said Col. David LeCours, of the Department of Fish and Wildlife. "People can help now by removing any food sources that may tempt the bears. That includes taking down bird feeders and not feeding birds until late October."

Results Of The 2011 Great Backyard Bird Count
Participants submitted more than 92,000 checklists to the GBBC this year--the third year in a row that checklists topped 90,000. New checklist records were set in 11 states and in 7 out of 13 Canadian provinces and territories, resulting in a new overall checklist record for Canada. Altogether, participants identified 596 species and 11.4 million bird observations.
